Taylor M. Taylor, BA

Hello, my name is Taylor. I have a bachelors  degree in Psychology from the University of Saint Francis located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have always been very passionate about helping others and happy to continue that passion of mine as the Care Coordinator. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, doing all the things with my kids, and traveling to new places as a family as often as we can.

Tamarah Gordon, BGS

I am a compassionate and dedicated professional committed to providing top quality care to each person. I am a mom to 4 adult children and to 3 4-legged children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my grandson, doing and teaching yoga, and dog training. 

Kyle Huskins, MA, BA

Hello, my name is Kyle. I am a proud native of Indianapolis and double degree recipient from THE IUPUI. I have a passion for learning something new everyday and I am open to learning from unexpected sources. In my spare time, I like to read, watch television, and spend time with my family.

Fatimah Sow, MSW

Having the compassion to help the most vulnerable population is what drove me into Social Work. I graduated from IU School of Social Work with both a bachelor and master degree. I enjoy working with senior citizens and making a positive impact in their lives. Besides my professional life, I am a mom of three beautiful and smart children. A boy and 2 girls. In my spare time, I love spending time with them. I’m excited to be among the team at Golden Apple Services. 

Deborah Anornu, MA, BA

From a young age, I have always had the desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others. This desire inspired me to get my bachelors degree in sociology and my masters in health communication.  I strive to be caring, dependable, and an advocate for the best interests of others. I indulge in various activities that bring me joy which includes cooking and baking. I am excited to be a part of the Golden Apple Family.

Nakia Muhammad, MS, BA

I am Nakia Muhammad, a Fort Wayne native. I completed my undergrad at Indiana University and my Masters degree at Indiana Tech. I enjoy helping people work towards a better quality of life. My passions outside of my profession include sports, movies, and reading.

Sandra Nelson, MPM, BA

I have an extensive background in social services and strive every day to make a positive impact in people’s lives. If I can make at least one person smile every day, then it is a good day. I treat people with compassion, respect, and kindness. These three things are what I have found to be a fundamental part of client- centered case management skills. I look forward to serving the community each day. When I am not at work you can find me watching or attending sporting events. I also have a passion for bass fishing with my husband.

Luanne McGowan, BSW

I graduated with my bachelor's degree from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. I started in healthcare at the young age of 15. I have always enjoyed assisting and helping others in the medical field but in the social aspect mainly. Out of work, I enjoy my grandchildren and my dogs, along with the rest of my family too!

April James, BSW

Hi, I am April, a passionate and dedicated Medicaid waiver case manager. With several years of social service experience in the field, I am committed to providing personalized support and advocacy to individuals and families in need. I believe in the power of collaboration and strive to create meaningful connections with clients, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure the best possible outcomes. I am excited to join the Golden Apple Team and work with individuals and their families to navigate the complexities of the Medicaid system and empower them to live their best lives!

Vemiah Gwaro, DBA, MS

My name is Vem Gwaro. I am excited to be part of the Golden Apple team!  I love working with the geriatric population and helping people in general. I am a lifelong learner. In my spare time, I enjoy doing research and finding out what’s out there. “Research means that you don’t know, but you are willing to find out”.  Charles Kettering.

Madison Schaefer, BSW

Hello, my name is Madison Schaefer. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work from IUPUI in 2020. I have about 5 years of experience working with AIDS Service Organizations around the Indianapolis area. I have a passion for working with people and providing care with dignity and inclusivity. Aside from my bachelor’s degree I am also a certified community health worker. Outside of work I enjoy gardening and collecting house plants. I enjoy going hiking, thrifting, and spending time at home with my cats, Magic, Miley, and Bonnie.

Olivia Krizon, MSW

My name is Olivia Krizon. I graduated from Ball State with my bachelor's and master's degree in social work. I am passionate about making positive impacts in the lives of others and find great reward in working in the field of social work. In my spare time, I like to work out, read, hike with my dog, and travel to experience new things!  I also love animals, and of course love my mini dachshund (Lucy), cat (Dragon), and hedgehog (Winston). 

Laura Waites, BGS

Hello, my name is Laura.  I’ve worked in social services for nearly twenty years. I have an associate of science degree in human services and a bachelor’s in general studies with social and behavioral concentrations. When I work with clients, I take a person-centered approach while collaborating with them for the best possible outcome. Additionally, I am passionate about what I do and care for the clients I work with. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful adult daughter and rescue Persian kitties. My hope is to return to school in the near future to pursue a master’s degree in social work.



Carole Gulley, BA

Carole has worked in social services/case management for 30+ years. Carole has experience working with families and individuals assisting them ot address barriers, make goals, and plan for healthy, happy lives where they can thrive. Carole assists families access resources within their community to live in their own home with assistance. Carole is a motivator and has experience monitoring progress, addressing concerns or challenges while igniting self-actualization in those she serves while building positive relationships with individuals and families she serves. Carole has a Bachelor of General Studies from with a concentration in sociology from Indiana University Northwest and an Associates of Applied Science from Charles Harrison Mason Bible School. Carole is proficient in Microsoft Office software Excel, PowerPoint, multiphone line, and faxes.
